It is drawn up in accordance with Law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. 1. Data controller Controller: OwnEbook Address: Rabat, Morocco Contact: support@ownebook.com 2. Data collected Account data: name, email address, password stored as a hash, language and preferences. Content you provide: instructions, texts, images and files uploaded to your projects. Usage data: operations started, dates, volumes processed, transaction history. Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, connection and security logs. Billing data: amounts, dates and payment references. Card numbers do not pass through our servers and are not stored by us. Support correspondence: messages, attachments and what was done about your request. 3. Purposes and legal bases Performance of the contract: creating and managing your account, providing the Service, handling your orders and subscriptions. Legal obligation: producing and keeping accounting and tax records, responding to requests from the competent authorities. Legitimate interest: keeping the Service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, measuring and improving how the platform works. Consent: sending you marketing messages, which you can decline at any time without affecting your use of the Service. 4. Retention periods Account data: for the life of the account, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time after it is closed. Project content: until you delete it, or until the account is closed. Accounting records and payment evidence: for the period required by Moroccan accounting and tax legislation. Technical and security logs: for a limited period, proportionate to their purpose. 5. Recipients and processors Your data is never sold or rented. It is disclosed only: to payment providers, to take payment for orders and manage subscriptions; to the artificial intelligence providers that carry out the processing you request, for as long as that processing requires; to the provider that delivers the service emails; to the platform's hosting provider; to the competent authorities, where the law requires it. These recipients act on instruction and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. 6. Transfers outside Morocco Some technical providers are established outside Morocco, which may involve transferring data abroad. In accordance with Law no. 09-08, such a transfer takes place only to a country offering an adequate level of protection, or on the basis of a CNDP authorisation together with appropriate contractual safeguards. 7. Security Passwords are stored as hashes, exchanges with the Service are encrypted in transit, internal access is limited to the people who need it, and sensitive administrative actions are logged. Because no system is infallible, any incident affecting your data is handled and notified in accordance with the applicable rules. 8. Cookies The site uses the cookies needed for authentication, security and keeping your session, and where applicable audience measurement cookies. You can configure your browser to limit or refuse them; some features may then stop working. 9. Your rights You have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to processing on legitimate grounds, and to have data deleted under the conditions provided by law. To exercise these rights, write to support@ownebook.com setting out your request. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt. You will receive a reply within the time limits set by Law no. 09-08. Some data must be kept despite a deletion request where a legal obligation requires it; the reply will say why. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may refer the matter to the Commission nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel (CNDP), the supervisory authority in Morocco. 10. Minors The Service is not intended for people who do not have the legal capacity to contract. If you become aware that an account was created by a minor without their legal representative's consent, report it to support@ownebook.com so that the data concerned can be deleted. 11. Changes This policy may be amended. Each version is published with its effective date, and substantial changes are signalled to you by reasonable means. 12.
