It applies to the extent permitted by applicable law, in particular Law no. 31-08 laying down consumer protection measures. 1. Nature of the services OwnEbook provides digital services that are performed immediately: each artificial intelligence operation is started at your request and consumes resources as soon as it begins. 2. Principle Artificial intelligence services that have already begun, or have already been consumed with your express consent, are generally not refundable, to the extent permitted by applicable law. By starting an operation you are asking for it to be performed immediately and you acknowledge that the corresponding service is performed from that moment. 3. AI balance The AI balance is prepaid credit intended to pay for operations on the Service. It does not expire and remains usable while your account is open. A remaining balance is not automatically an entitlement to a cash refund or a refund to the original payment method: it remains intended to be used on the Service. This does not affect the refunds listed in section 5, nor any refund that the law makes mandatory. 4. Subscriptions A subscription can be cancelled at any time from your account, under its billing rules. Cancelling stops the next renewal: your access stays active until the end of the period already paid for. The current period is not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires it. 5. Cases in which a refund is granted a duplicate charge or duplicate invoice for the same order; an unauthorised charge, once verified; a service paid for but not delivered, where non-delivery is established; a technical failure attributable to the Service that prevented the service from being performed; any refund made mandatory by applicable Moroccan law. 6. How to request a refund Send your request to support@ownebook.com as soon as possible after the charge concerned, giving the date, amount and reference of the transaction and the reason for your request. We acknowledge receipt and reply within a reasonable time. Where a refund is granted it is made to the original payment method; how quickly the funds appear then depends on your bank or payment provider. Applicable statutory time limits prevail over this paragraph in all cases. 7. Statutory rights Nothing in this policy sets aside the rights the law gives consumers and which cannot be waived. Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory rule, that rule prevails. 8. Scope of this document This document is a general template provided for information only. It is not legal advice.
